Pre & Post Tan Instructions
Pre and Post Tan Responsibility: To achieve optimal results clients must follow the preparation instructions provided via email before the appointment. Failure to do so may result in less-than-perfect results. Clients must also follow the aftercare instructions provided in the post-tan instructions to maintain the tan.
Before Your Appointment
Be sure to:
Exfoliate your skin 24 hours before your tan to remove dead skin cells. A gentle scrub or exfoliating mitt works best!
Shave at least 24 hours prior to allow your pores to close.
Make sure skin is clear of all old spray tan.
Please don’t:
Use sugar scrubs before your appointment. They will create a barrier on the skin.
If your razor has a hydration strip, make sure to wash your legs with soap to get it off, it will create a barrier on your legs, and could streak them.
Apply lotions, oils, deodorant, or makeup before your session, as they can create a barrier.
Wear deodorant to your appointment. Deodorant will turn your armpits green.
Shower or exfoliate right before appointment this can cause PH Balance issues can affect the tan.
Please text Shanna immediately if you have any allergies. The solution has clean ingredients but some have macadamia nut oil in it. 585-752-4776

What To Wear To Your Appointment
Wear dark, loose-fitting clothing to your appointment to prevent any transfer or smudging. Long sleeves and long pants are ideal so you don’t get splashed with water while your tan is marinating.
Women- Undress to what you feel comfortable wearing.
Men’s Competition Tanning - Men tanning for a competition should wear either a sock or disposable thong depending on your division.
Bikinis are perfect for the cheerleaders to wear during the tan.
If you’re tanning for a special occasion and plan to wear undergarments, please keep tan lines and your outfit in mind. For example, if you have a strapless dress, do not plan to tan in a bikini with straps.
Flip-flops or loose shoes are best to avoid rubbing the tan off your feet. Socks and sneakers will rub your tan off of your feet.
Disposables available upon request.
After Your Tan
Wait the recommended time before showering. General rinse times are as follows:
Premier RAPID Glow and Premier RAPID Sweat Resistant - 1-4 hours
1 hour- light glow,
2 hours- light/ medium,
3 hours - medium dark
4 hours- deep, dark
Pure Glow and Pure Glow Sweat Resistant - can be left on for 8-12 hours depending on desired color. I recommend 8-10 hours for a medium dark.
Rinse time will be discussed during consultation.
Avoid excessive sweating or getting wet before your first rinse.
First rinse should be with luke warm water. You will see bronzer come off in the shower. You did not rinse your tan off, it’s just the bronzer.
Hop out when you see the water run clear. Pat to dry, do not rub. You will look noticeably lighter when the cosmetic bronzer is washed off.
Don’t panic. You will continue to get darker for the next 24 hours.
24 hours later you can use soap in the shower and shampoo. Use gentle cleansers for the longevity of your tan.
Keep your skin moisturized with a tan-friendly lotion to maintain your glow longer.
Avoid saunas, hot tubs and pools for extended periods of time if your goal is to prolong your tan. If you do go in a pool, rinse off with clean water when you get out.
